I remember being young and wondering how it was possible that my parents didn't know any of the popular bands. Well, obviously it was because they were old...or so my thinking went. Now I realize that most of that kind of music pretty much just sucks. I'll gladly take the label of being old.

My father is turning sixty next month and he still manages to know who the good larger bands are, and even some of the more obscure ones.

I was at a house party about two years ago and I was talking to this girl who was about 17. She was one of those girls who hung out with the "older crowd", but she still showed her age a lot. We were talking about music and I said I liked alternative and punk. She said "Oh! Do you like Simple Plan?!"
