i think you should study anarchy a little further. sid vicious was just a punk without direction. there are many anarchists who have some very profound, progressive thoughts.
i.e. noam chomsky is anarcho-communist while ron paul shows characteristics of anarcho-capitalism.
the power is in the people's hands. many non-profit organizations are doing a much better job than our government at feeding and helping the poor.
government run systems will never work as well as a privately owned venture. the key is competition.
education... i would much rather a group of people who love and have connections to the kids working on our education problems than some guy who thinks standardized testing is the answer (no child left behind). if that means we should pay for our education... bonus. we rarely value anything that doesn't cost something. we need competition in order for our social services to improve.
when the homeless get hungry, will they attack me, or will they go after the hand that has fed them and asked nothing in return?
it isn't a governing body of rich business owners who will run our cities and states, but men and women who feel they can do the best job at the best price. you can say private industry is much worse, but in reality it is what has brought our nation such great wealth. the freedom to create a service that is recognized for it value is what drives private industry.
chronic... you should know this best. isn't that the point of popfreeradio? to bring the best music to people? would you rather the government do your job because they "understand the people's needs"?
now, argue trade legislation. who is keeping the kids from the workplace? well, i personally would never let a child of mine work before they are ready, so why would i bother supporting a company that did put children to work. it's freedom of choice that will ensure the best businesses succeed. it is also private organizations keeping each other accountable that will ensure that the greedy ones shrivel and die. our government has been allowed to waste billions of dollars because we have no idea how they spend the money. wouldn't a fair, honest business spend money to ensure the flakes are exposed for their atrocities?
free enterprise, and free thought are answers to our problems... not government "service".
sure. people will die. people will starve. but it's a lot better than having hired politicians sending hired guns to kill millions for an unjust cause. our government spends more time killing than i think a full riot of the idle hands ever could.
there will be chaos to begin, but it's time to cut off the dead weight and move forward in progress.
i'm more scared of government holding a gun to my head (or that of my family) because i allowed them to take my freedom than i am worried that a group of lazy, unlearned leeches will attack ME because they are starving. besides... wouldn't starvation be incentive to find new ways of living?
the biggest question we should be asking is: how do we remove the guns from the hands of those paid to waste billions of our dollars? we need a dispersion of power.
change has never been comfortable. progress often takes a measure of pain.
just a few of my thoughts.
